Geese pillow - a small finish

It took me two months to quilt Maastricht flying kites.
At the end, I was in a frenzy. I just wanted it to be over to start something new. But when it was finally finished... I could not go back to my sewing machine. Either it had taken all my sewing energy or the project I had coming up next was not that exiting. Yet the same colours!
I had largely miscalculated the fabric needs and I still had a lot of orange, blue and yellow solids remaining, so I decided that my next project would be pillows to go with the quilt.
Pillow is my go to project to try something new at a smaller scale.
Finally, I decided to start with my first attempt as flying geese.
It was a strange thing for me to start piecing again, as if I had forgotten everything. Change the foot, needle, thread tension... where did I put my starter/ender project? Why did I put away my thread cutter with the quilting gear? But I soon as I started, it was finished, and I "had to" go back to quilting again... so I stopped again.
After some mulling around, I decided to piece the second pillow before quilting the first one and... it worked! I will share the second pillow as soon as it is finished.
Here is my first, finished, quilted, pillow.
I have to say I like it, but the feeling of victory is disproportionate to the actual end project

Quilter Les cerf-volants de Maastricht m'a pris deux mois. A la fin, j'étais fébrile, je voulais juste en avoir fini et commencer enfin autre chose. Mais quand j'ai eu fini... je n'arrivais pas à commencer autre chose. Comme si les cerf-volants m'avaient pris toute mon énergie. Ou alors, c'est le projet prévu qui ne m'allait pas trop. Encore les mêmes couleurs!
J'avais surestimé les tissus dont j'avais besoin pour ce patchwork. Il me restait donc plein d'orange, bleu et jaune uni. De plus, ma fille avait attendu son patchwork si longtemps que j'ai trouvé qu'elle méritait un "bonus".
Un coussin est un petit projet que j'utilise pour tester de nouvelles techniques. Javais envie d'essayer de faire des "fluing geese" depuis longtemps, donc mon premier coussin est composé de flying geese.
C'était bizzare de recommencer à piecer. Il me semblait que j'avais tout oublié de l'organisation nécessaire, changer de pied, d'aiguille, de tension de fil... Où ais je rangé mon "starter-ender project", pourquoi ais-je écarté mes ciseaux avec le nécéssaire à quilter? Mais le piécage a terminé dès qu'il a commencé, et je me retrouvais de nouveau à "devoir" quilter et... je me suis de nouveau arrètée.
Après avoir un peu réfléchi, j'ai décidé de piécer le second coussin avant de me remettre au quilting et ça a marché!
Voici dons le premier coussin, je partagerai l'autre quand il sera fini. Je suis assez contente du résultat, mais le sentiment de victoire que j'ai est disproportionné.
